ThankYa.com Launches Post-Transaction Thank You Cards for eBay Users
Binghamton, NY (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- ThankYa.com (http://www.ThankYa.com), a start-up based in Binghamton, New York introduced a new service on Thanksgiving Day allowing eBay buyers and sellers to send free "ThankYa Cards" following their successful transactions. In addition to promoting goodwill among eBay buyers and sellers, sending ThankYa Cards (http://www.ThankYa.com) can lead to repeat business between the two parties. Embedded in the ThankYa Cards are links to the sender's other items for sale on eBay.
ThankYa.com founder and CEO, Michael Atchie, 36, developed the idea for post-transaction electronic thank you cards two years ago after purchasing a new car and receiving a thank you card in the mail from the dealership.
"I felt e- thank you cards would be an ideal way for online buyers and sellers to show appreciation for a smooth transaction," stated Atchie, who frequently buys and sells items on eBay.
ThankYa Cards are similar to other electronic greeting cards which generate an email notification to the recipient with a link to a web page showing the card image. While e-cards have been an internet staple for years, Atchie believes ThankYa.com is the first card service to promote repeat business between online buyers and sellers by using the card to show links to items they have for sale.
Following a transaction, eBay users can visit the ThankYa.com web site and choose from a variety of cards to send to the other party. Senders can include a personal message and provide their eBay username, which triggers the ThankYa Card to display the links to their other items for sale. When the card is opened, the recipient will see the card, the personal message and the eBay links.
ThankYa.com has implemented tools to prevent their e-cards from being used as spam, including a limit on the number of cards a sender can submit at one time and an integrated spam blocker. ThankYa.com officials believe ThankYa Cards will become an integral part of buying and selling on the eBay marketplace.

Hello From Banff: Taking The Gondola Up To Sulphur Mountain And A Last Walk Through The Village
Our skiing had come to an end and I allocated the last full day in Banff to explore some more local attractions while my husband headed into Calgary to do some shopping. We got going at about 11:30 am and Nigel dropped me off at the foot of the Banff Gondola. This historic attraction has been around since 1959 and the gondola was just recently reconstructed and reopened in 1998 and features a state-of-the-art gondola system engineered by a Swiss gondola construction company.
Hello From Ottawa ? A Historic Transportation Adventure On The Hull-chelsea-wakefield Steam Train
Transportation is an integral experience of any trip, and when you get a chance to experience a unique mode of transportation it's even better. Even though today we didn't have the best weather, I drove from Ottawa over the bridge to Hull (now officially part of the Municipality of Gatineau), and not far from the famous Casino duLac-Leamy is the train station for the Hull-Chelsea Wakefield Steam Train. This tourist train runs on the former Gatineau Railway Line, built between 1890 and 1903 by the Ottawa and Gatineau Valley Railway whose purpose was to connect downtown Ottawa with the Quebec town of Maniwaki in order to facilitate lumber transports. Due to a shortage of funds the entire railway line was never fully completed and passenger se...
Hello From Toronto - Part 6 - The Toronto International Dragonboat Festival 2006
One of my favourite spots in Toronto is the Toronto Islands, that lovely patch of land right in front of downtown Toronto, separated by just a sliver of water. So close, yet so far from the city's hustle and bustle. One of the biggest events on the Islands is the Toronto Dragonboat Festival, a family event organized by the Toronto Chinese Business Association. In addition to being a great entertainment event, the Dragonboat Festival is also a big fundraiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, so it?s not just fun, it?s also for a good cause.

Hello From Nova Scotia: A Halifax City Tour (part Ii) Titanic
On the night of April 14, 1912, the Titanic, a brand-new and supposedly ?unsinkable? ship, was on its maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City. The ship, the largest and most luxurious ocean liner of the day, was carrying about 2200 passengers and crew when the ship collided about 11:30 pm with an iceberg. The Titanic carried enough lifeboats for just about half the number of people which surprisingly was in compliance with legislation in force at that time. Many of the lifeboats were lowered into the ice-cold Atlantic only half full, and at about 2 am in the morning of April 15, 1912, the unfathomable happened: the ship?s stern rose up and the world?s first unsinkable ocean liner went down into the cold depths of the North...
Hello From Niagara Falls, Ontario ? A City Of Lights And Magic (part II)
Inspired from this almost magical experience in the Illumination Tower I was ready for my last adventure of the day: my first live Magic Show. I drove five minutes into the Clifton Hill area and arrived at the Greg Frewin Theatre. As I entered, a large tour group was just enjoying a dinner buffet and started to file into the theatre and take their spots. I had a chance to sit down with Greg Frewin, the Grandmaster of Magic himself, shortly before the show and get to know this master illusionist a little bit.
Hello From Sicily ? Presenting: The Sciglio Family ? 55 Years Of Hotel Ownership In Taormina
I really enjoyed my location at Hotel Villa Nettuno, this 13-room family run hotel on the north side of Taormina. Since it was a rainy day today anyway, I decided to find out a bit more about this hardworking family who have dedicated their lives towards making foreign travelers feel welcome in Taormina. So I sat down with Vincenzo and Salvatore, the father and son team that together with Maria, Salvatore?s mother, runs Hotel Villa Nettuno. Naturally the interview was conducted in Italian, and I sometimes had to use my dictionary plus my hands and feet to get my point across.
You Bored Me at Hello - Top Three Strategies for Networking Your Brand

Hello From Sicily ? Italian Studies, A Pottery Lesson And A Hike Up Mount Etna
On a gorgeous morning following a good sleep after last night?s cooking lesson I woke up at about 6 am and stepped out on the balcony of my hotel room. The sun was just coming up, and the sky was filled with shades of purple and pink. Far away I could see the outline of a strip of land: the Italian mainland, more precisely the Region of Calabria, was visible on this clear day for the first time. The aerial distance between Taormina and the southern tip of Italy is about 40 kilometres, and this sunrise view across the Ionian Sea was simply gorgeous.
Hello From New York City - Part 4 - Staten Island And A Random Act Of Violence
The Staten Island Ferry is a fabulous institution. It is a huge ferry that departs from a very modern, glass enclosed terminal, holds several thousand people and in just about 20 minutes whisks you over to Staten Island, very close to the Statue of Liberty, and all this for free! One thing we really noticed about New York City is that we definitely love the public transportation system. With our week long pass we have been hopping on an off subways as we please and we have found the transit system to be very efficient, pretty clean and quite safe (for the most part).
