Two Guests Win New Cars With $21 at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino

Lac du Flambeau, WI (PRWeb) March 15, 2007 -- Two very lucky guests drove home in new vehicles within a week during an amazing winning streak at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.

First, Holly Goessl received the surprise of her life on Saturday, March 3, when she won a brand new Chevy Colorado 4x4. "It's a thrilling experience," Holly said about winning the sleek new truck. "This is my first new vehicle in my entire life!"

The lucky Harshaw resident won the truck playing the "It's My Party" slot machine, which is part of the Mystery Giveaway progressive slot bank. Holly said she was only playing the slot machine for a couple minutes when her luck struck with $20.

Then, Todd Rockhill won a sleek 2007 Pontiac G5 on Saturday, March 10. He had played less than $1 when he won his jackpot. Todd and a friend had just traveled from Caledonia, Wis., where he lives and works as a truck driver, to drop off a load of firewood for an uncle and decided to visit the casino. Needless to say, their stop really paid off for Todd. He won his new car playing The Munsters slot machine.

"I was just 'monkeying' around and thought I'd just play a few times," Todd said. "I just sat down and played three times when the jackpot struck. It was unbelievable."

Both Holly and Todd were playing on the Mystery Giveaway slot bank when their luck struck. The bank is a group of 21 slot machines dedicated to giving lucky winners the chance to take home a brand new automobile, all-terrain vehicle, snowmobile or motorcycle for as little as a nickel.

Now featured on the slot bank is a Jeep Compass. For more information about the Mystery Giveaway progressive slot bank, visit the Torchlight Club or call 1-800-25-TORCH.

Hello from Sicily Italian Studies, a Pottery Lesson and a Hike up Mount Etna
On a gorgeous morning following a good sleep after last nights cooking lesson I woke up at about 6 am and stepped out on the balcony of my hotel room. The sun was just coming up, and the sky was filled with shades of purple and pink. Far away I could see the outline of a strip of land: the Italian mainland, more precisely the Region of Calabria, was visible on this clear day for the first time. The aerial distance between Taormina and the southern tip of Italy is about 40 kilometres, and this sunrise view across the Ionian Sea was simply gorgeous.

Hello, World; Hello, Voip Telephony
The world has shrunk, thanks to an invention called the Internet. Communication is now made easier. Barely two decades ago, a person in Thailand has to wait for weeks for a letter from the United States. Now, a letter can be sent in a matter of seconds, through e-mail or electronic mail. A few years ago, talking to a person halfway across the world is guaranteed to cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. Now, with the advent of VoIP telephony, it costs nothing more than a local phone call to your neighbour. Sometimes, it?s even for free!
