Far Gone Greetings Offers Greeting Cards for Runners, by Runners

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 25, 2008 -- For many runners, finding the perfect greeting card has been a difficult task. The greeting card industry has not focused on this special niche, which has left many sports aficionados feeling as if they can never find the perfect card for their fellow enthusiasts. To help remedy that problem, Victoria Primicias has launched Far Gone Greetings, which focuses solely on providing greeting cards that revolve around people's passions.

"I first realized there was a need for running-related greeting cards when I attended a runner friend's birthday party in 2007," said Primicias. "It bothered me that I couldn't find a card that related to running in some way. Soon after, I decided to launch Far Gone. We are hoping to take a familiar product, greeting cards, and introduce them to a whole new market by being offered in specialty stores."

Far Gone Greetings will not just focus on the sport of running, however, as the company has targeted a number of other activities including cycling, triathlons, yoga and swimming. The company will also be offering cards related to other hobbies and special interests including dining, dieting, going to the gym, as well as cards for dog and cat lovers.

"After doing a bit of research, I found that there are a number of different interests that people feel passionate about," continued Primicias. "So, I decided to offer more than just cards that focus on running. After all, that is the whole premise behind Far Gone Greetings -- we offer cards for people who are nearly obsessive about the sport or activity they enjoy and who can understand the 'inside jokes' we use in our cards."

Primicias recently launched the business at The Running Event trade show held in Dallas in November, 2008. Her greeting cards run the gamut of birthday and holiday cards for runners and marathoners, to cross-training activities such as cycling and swimming.
